Standing Side Thigh Series

Standing Side Thigh is a lateral Series strengthens the outer thighs, glutes, and stabilizing muscles through side leg lifts, often performed at the barre or with a chair. Movements can be combined with Curtsy Lunges, Glutes, Core, or Cardio for added intensity, and props like weights or bands increase resistance.

Because this Series challenges balance and coordination, it’s typically placed toward the end of the Standing section—or during a focused Conditioning segment.

💡 Framework Tip: Side thigh work builds the lateral strength and hip stability needed for Half Moon in yoga. Barre-trained leg lifts (like développé à la seconde) don’t just sculpt dancers—they prep yogis too.
